Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg Museum

The Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg Museum is located off Interstate 69 about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne in Auburn, Indiana. The museum is off Indiana 8 exit at 1600 South Wayne Street. It is open to the public daily. Hours of operation are 9 AM to 5 PM. The museum features early cars produced in the Indiana area, plus Auburns, Cords & Duesenbergs from the pre-World War II era. This 1930 Packard 734 Speedster is a good example of the other types of cars found in the ACD Auto Museum.

 
 


This 1940 Cadillac Series 62 Custom Convertible, built by Bohman and Schwartz. It offers a glimpse of great autos from the past.


Here is a nice example of the 1932 Stutz Bearcat Speedster. It was guaranteed to exceed 100 mph and sold for $5895 during the Great Depression.

 
 

This is a 1936 Mercedes-Benz Sedanca Drophead Coupe. It was built during the golden era of autos in prewar Germany.


This is the 1937 Cord Convertible with a supercharged V-8 and front wheel drive. Note the hidden headlights and side exhaust pipes on this model.
 
 

Shown here is the 1936 Cord 810 art deco model by Gordon Buehrig. It has been called one of the most beautiful cars ever designed.

This is a 1952 Cisitalia. This design was selected by the Museum of Modern Art as one of the 10 Most Beautiful Cars ever built..
 
 

This is the famous 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 V-8 powered "road rocket". Note that the fenders are wider on it than the 289 engine equipped model.
This is 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico V-12. It helped make the Ferrari one of the world powers in auto racing.
 
 

This is 1941 Graham Hollywood. This rare car was equipped with a Supercharged V-8 engine and rear wheel drive. The body was a Cord from the cowl back
Here is a 1928 Stutz Black Hawk Speedster Boattail. It was the fastest car in the USA in 1928 with a top speed of 106 mph
 
 
This is an American beauty, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. It had V-8 283 cubic inch fuel injected engine.
