NASCAR Rookie Class of 2000

 

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Matt Kenseth, Dave Blaney, Mike Bliss, Stacy Compton,
Scott Pruett and Ed Berrier comprise the largest rookie class in NASCAR history. The battle for the 2000 Rookie of the Year title is shaping up to be a heated one. A third generation driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. would like nothing more than to follow in the tire tracks of his grandfather, Ralph , and his father, Dale.

Scott Pruett, a 10-year veteran on the CART circuit, signed a multi-year agreement to drive the No. 32 Tide Ford for PPI Motorsports.
Ed Berrier had nine starts in NASCAR from 1995-99, he is eligible for the Rookie of the Year award because he never made more than four starts in one season.
